Since moving home I've done the most important photography of my life to date. I'm not talking championships at fancy sporting arenas, celebrities, or major breaking world news. I'm talking about real life in my own family. My only sibling recently gave birth to her and her husband's first child. I was there to take maternity portraits beforehand, sweet early moments with baby Ruby, and her newborn portraits. These photos will live on within my family. Ruby and then her children will have them to cherish as precious mementos from the past. I've taken thousands of photos of other people, for other people. Nothing is sweeter than capturing moments for the people that I love.
I am a freelance photojournalist in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Previously I was a staff photographer for the Athens Banner-Herald in Athens, Ga. and the Times-Georgian in Carrollton, Ga.
